    Do regular sports and eat healthy, but you can not lose fat, you may have a health problem that you are not aware of. It is very important to react to it.

    It's a hormone we all produce: cortisol. A high level of it can lead to many health problems, including Cushing's syndrome.

    When you are in a state of constant stress cortisol is secreted continuously. This results in the destruction of muscles, alteration of metabolism and accumulation of abdominal fat.

    Here are the symptoms that tell you that you have high cortisol:

    - mood changes: anger, anxiety, depression
    - permanent fatigue even if you do nothing
    - headaches

    - digestive problems
    - frequent urination, constipation, diarrhea
    - problems with sleep
    - memory problems
    - facial hair and wrinkles

    What you can do to lower cortisol levels:

    1. Avoid coffee, alcohol, high sugar foods, sweets and potassium.

    2. Consume quality protein, chicken, eggs, brown rice, broccoli, pumpkin, soy, meat, milk, almonds, salmon, oats, beans and sunflower seeds.

    3. Eat 5 small meals throughout the day.

    4. Do sports three times a week for 50 minutes.

    5. Sleep well - Make sure you sleep between 8 and 10 hours a night.

    6. Relax - Try relaxation and meditation techniques.

    7. Drink plenty of water.

    Beach volleyball is so varied, complex and you have to react to all situations in a resilient and flexible way, physically and mentally. It's a great sport to play outdoors. Two, three, four, five, big or small, male or female. We love that and find it difficult to last several days without a ball in hand and sand underfoot.

    IT FELT VERY FAMILIAR FROM THE START.
    We have been playing in the team for almost exactly a year now. We also found out very quickly that we speak the same “language” on the field and felt that we had been playing together for ages. We also played two tournaments together in the past - so we weren't brand new.

    The first “real” joint match was at a national tournament in Sydney. In Manly on the beach there is constant wind and then we as a fresh team together on the field ... that was very exciting. But we quickly got together there and found that we can both deal with such difficult conditions. And even had fun with the wind.

    It is not always easy to be permanently on the go in a team, to play, to travel. We are very different types, we have different needs and rhythms. For this to work well, we first had to find out what we need as an individual to be able to play successfully. Then you see how it fits together. However, there is no secret. Similar to a “right” relationship, you have to go through ups and downs together. We both burn for a common goal, do a lot together, but also respect each other's privacy and build breaks in which we train individually or don't see each other - that's how it works for us. 🙂
